SushiOnline
Drag 'n' drop sushi
delivered to your door step!
It's exactly what the name implies – a service for ordering sushi online. Through a simple intuitive graphical interface with drag 'n' drop, the customer can create their own sushi meals for takeaway or home delivery at a time of their choosing. The goal was to make people actually want to use the site, since ordering meals on the web is not exactly common practice. Hence, the site had to be fun, easy to use and feature the same brand experience and atmosphere as being at the restaurant itself.
The main interface is mostly drag and drop, while the rest of the process (check out etc.) is done in a simple wizard like step-by-step guide. SushiOnline has been running since 2005 and has become very popular. To receive orders, there is a mac set up in the restaurant that flashes a red screen every time an order comes in.
I did the art direction and design as well as all the programming. Note: I have also designed East West Sushi's graphical profile and advertising.
